Mechanical Design Engineer

PRG have been appointed on an exclusive basis on behalf of a top five building services consultancy in the search of a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing MEP department in Birmingham.

Due to significant growth and development, continuing to win major project work across the industrial, property, commercial and leisure sectors, the firm is looking to appoint an experienced Intermediate Mechanical Engineer currently on track to become a Senior.

The role will require you to deliver high quality, innovative design. It is expected you will have thorough knowledge of Mechanical Services, experience of full range of project delivery with experience of site supervision and inspections. 

You will have experience:

• Liaising with clients, design team members and contractors
• Help develop and support graduate engineers and technicians
• Open to travel nationwide or internationally (short-term travel) depending on project requirements.

You will have

• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, preferably MSc or equivalent and working towards Chartership.
• Strong design experience in mechanical design – including coordination, spatial planning and energy performance of buildings
• Working knowledge of IES and Revit MEP
